Its desire for innovation has led PLANIMETRO to adopt Building Information Modeling (BIM) procedures of the highest standard in the management of its projects. The ever-increasing ease of integration between cyonstruction data and parametric digital models representing parts of buildings, together with the procedures used to share these models, represent the new paradigms of digital design. Parametric design, the viewing of the data extracted from the model, the use of this data during construction, and conservation of the data needed for maintenance planning, combined with digital models, as well as the ability to integrate models from various disciplines, allows the adoption of new strategies during the decision-making process and the quest for optimal solutions. These have been defined during the setting up of workflows, optimized for the use of various software programs, with Autodesk Revit for three-dimensional modelling and creation of computer databases for the building structures, softwares for the automatic clashes’ detection between disciplines. With the BIM Model, time, cost, maintenance and management of buildings are in control since the beginning of the projects, during the construction stages and through their life cycle.

Thanks to BIM technology, PLANIMETRO has achieved excellence in design standards as regards the coordination of the various disciplines, in its support to companies during tender and construction and in its provision of a dynamic and effective tool to clients, combining integrated design, process control, economic management and building maintenance aspects.
